An online Expert Talk on the topic “Stages of Startup”, for the students of Commerce Stream was organized by Career Guidance and Placement cell at Govt. P.G. College for Women, Sector-14, Panchkula on 23rd November, 2020. The main objective of this program was to make the students aware about the concept, relevance and stages of startup. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Tanushree Chandra, Centre Head, Startup Incubator Centre of Excellence, Sector-1, Panchkula, in order to encourage the students in believing that they can follow their career pursuits through their own startup. Seventy-four final year students of Commerce Stream attended this program and got benefitted.
Major highlights of the lecture delivered by Ms. Tanushree Chandra were:
Discussion on concept of startup and why theses have become important of paramount value for the growth of the economy.
Funding sources and role of incubators for establishing startups.
Detailed explanation of six stages of startup, from idea generation to conception then committing, validation, scaling and finally establishment of startup.
The lecture was of great success. It helped the students to know about something new and prepare themselves for something innovative and novel.
