Objectives of Skill Courses

Value Added Courses: Report (2021-22)

The value added courses were sanctioned to Govt. PG College for Women, sector 14, Panchkula (memo no 3/3-2020 C-l (1) dated 14th Aug, 2020. As per the guidelines from Principal Secretary to Govt. Haryana, higher education department, these courses were further allocated to the concerned departments for successful completion of course.V

Value Added Course on 'Green Chemistry" was organized by department of chemistry from 27th Dec 2021- 2nd Feb, 2022 in online as well as offline mode for B.Sc Il and Ill year students. Total 50 students were enrolled in this course which was conducted by regular faculty member Mrs. Kavita, Assistant Prof in Chemistry. The duration of course was 30 hours and students regularly attended the course with more than 80% attendance. The students have prepared their course file and regularly submitted their assignments at Google classroom. Final examination of this course was conducted on 21st Feb. 2022 through online mode of two papers (theory and practical).



Value Added Course on "Data Base Administration" was organized by department of computer science from 21st dec, 2021 — 17th Feb 2022 in hybrid mode for BCA Ill students. The objective of the course was to train students and enhance their data base skills through hands on projects and use cases. In this course students learn about data base administration concepts through real world examples. Total 28 students participated in this course. The course was imparted by regular faculty members of computer science department, Mrs. Reema Gupta, Mr. Pradeep Kumar and Mrs. Seema. The duration of course was 30 hours and students regularly attended the course with more than 80% attendance. Final examination of this course was conducted on 18th-19th May, 2022 through online mode of two papers (theory and practical).

        The students successfully completed the course and secured good marks in theory and practical examination.
