Report of Alumni Meet of Govt. College for Women, Sec-14, Panchkula 

(2019-20)

 A web alumni meet was organized by Govt. PG College for Women, Sector 14, Panchkula on 02.05.2020. Amid lock down situation the meet was planned through Cisco WebEx meet app. And this was the first online alumni meet ever planned by our college. Chief Guest for the same was Principal of the college Mrs. Indira Goyal. The meet was organized by Mrs. Geeta Bhatia(Convenor) and committee members Dr. AparnaSharma and Ms.Rubi Mangla from Dept. of Commerce. Beforehandmeet Invite was prepared and communicated to students through emails and social media platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp groups. Google forms link was also provided to alumni to register themselves for the alumni meet. More than 100 students registered themselves for the meet. Meeting started with inaugural address by Students’ Council President, Ms. Pooja Sharma (a student of M.com II), followed by Saraswathi Vandana by Mrs. Latika Chahal, Assistant Professor in Commerceand a bhajan was recited by student of M.Com I. Dr. AparnaSharma gave welcome address and then convener of alumni meet Mrs. Geeta Bhatia presented a detailed note about the activities and contribution of alumni members during the year 2019-20.Name of the office bearers were officially announced and it was also announced that alumni association name has been approved by district authorities i.e.Galum Association Ltd. And it’s registration process will soon be completed.Online meet gave opportunity to alumni from all over India to reconnect with their college days, Alumni from many places like Hyderabad,Bangalore,Delhi,Gurugram,Ludhiana and some students connected from Canada also. Alumni were given platform to share their college and work life experiences. They also guided current students for successful future endeavors. Few senior associate professors Dr.Meenakshi and Dr.Bharti also joined the meeting and shared their views for the motivation of students and advised them to be in touch with the college activities. Alumnus Ms. Preeti Sharma advised about the nutritious diet habits during Covid-19and one budding entrepreneur from our college gave demo of how to prepare chocolate cake. Office bearers of alumni association i.e.President, Ms.Varsha and Joint Secretary presented vote of thanks. Few studentsexpressed their great enthusiasm through cultural performances.The alumni meet drew to close and Ms. Rubi Mangla, proposed the vote of thanks. She thanked all the dignitaries, alumni, organizers of the meet for taking the time to attend the alumni meet and making it a memorable one. Meeting ended with national anthem with a note to meet again next year #stay home,stay safe.

Report of Alumni Meet of Govt. College for Women, Sec-14, Panchkula 

(2018-19)

Government college for women, sec-14, Panchkula organized “Alumni Meet” on 30.03.2019.Students from all the sessions were invited in the meet. The registration of the alumni meet started from 10: 30 am. The convener of the registration was Mr. Pradeep from Department of computer. Total registrations were 137.The students of the college welcomed their seniors. The chief guest of the meet Dr. Anuradha Sharma , Principal and Chairman of the Alumni Meet addressed the students about various achievements of the college .Ex-IAS Vivek Attrey motivated the students with his interactive lecture in the Alumni meet.Ms Geeta Bhatia ,Chief Patron of the Alumni meet briefed the students about the college profile. Cultural programmes were also organized. The students of the college and the alumni’s took part in various activities.

Mementos were given to the alumni’s in the Alumni Meet. Committee of the office bearers of Alumni’s was constituted. Miss Varsha was elected as President of the alumni meet. Vice president, General Secretary, Joint Secretary Treasurer, Organizing Secretary, Advisor are Ms Priya Bhutani, Ms Priyanka Hooda, Ms Jyoti, Ms Manisha kaushal.

Diet Counseling stall by Preeti Sharma, Alumni of the college from Department of Home Science. Diet counseling related to weight loss, weight gain and other different diseases by Preeti Sharma. Vote of thanks was given by Preeti Sharma (student of home science).Tree plantation drive was also initiated by the students council members and other members.

Meet concluded with the National Anthem. Overall the function was a success.
