Code of Conduct – College Faculty and Staff

(As per the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Haryana)

Teaching Staff

  • Governed by the Statutes, Ordinances, and Service Rules of the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana.

  • Expected to work honestly and collaboratively with the Head of Institution to support its development.

  • Must uphold institutional policies and prioritize institutional goals.

  • Required to perform teaching duties with dedication, punctuality, and sincerity.

  • Leave must be taken according to rules, with prior notice.

  • Encouraged to pursue continuous professional development through study, research, seminars, and conferences.

  • Expected to guide students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

  • Must provide mentoring and counselling to students facing challenges.

  • Should promote values like respect, peace, democracy, and humanism.

  • Not permitted to engage in political activities within the college campus.

 

Non-Teaching Staff

  • Governed by the same Statutes, Ordinances, and Service Rules.

  • Must follow institutional working hours, with a one-hour lunch break.

  • Expected to maintain professionalism, including honesty, punctuality, discipline, and sincerity.

  • Required to keep student and staff records confidential.

  • Must avoid any form of harassment or discrimination based on gender, sexuality, marital status, religion, or other personal attributes.
