Report on Awareness Lecture on Legal Services and Constitution Day Date: 7-11-2025 Venue - Room No.317 Organized by – Legal Literacy Cell To commemorate Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day, Legal Literacy Cell of GCW Sector 14 Panchkula, organized an Awareness Lecture on Legal Services and the Indian Constitution on 7-11-2025. The event aimed to spread awareness among students about the importance of the Constitution, the fundamental rights and duties of citizens, and the various legal aid services available to ensure justice for all. The keynote speaker Ms. Sumita Walia, Panel Advocate, DLSA, Panchkula delivered an insightful lecture on the role of legal services authorities, the right to free legal aid, and the importance of constitutional values such as equality, liberty, and justice. The speaker highlighted the significance of Constitution Day, celebrated every year on 26th November to mark the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1949 and emphasized the responsibility of youth in upholding the ideals enshrined in the Constitution and encouraged students to be aware of their legal rights and duties. The session was followed by an interactive question-and-answer segment, where 78 students actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding legal procedures and access to legal aid. In her concluding remarks Ms. Khushila, Principal of College encouraged students to become responsible citizens by understanding and respecting the Constitution. Overall, the lecture proved to be highly informative and inspiring, enriching students’ knowledge of legal rights and constitutional principles.
