Movie Screening ' India's Daughter' & ' Bawandar' by WSDC & IQAC on 28.04.22
In the gracious presence of the Hon'ble Principal of the college Dr. Rajiv Chaudhary, the Women Studies and Development Cell ( Ms. Alka Sharma (C), Ms. Anju Goel, Dr. Pooja, Dr. Madhu, Ms. Latika Chahal, Ms. Sukriti Bhukkal, Ms. Kalpna, Ms. Kusum, Ms. Anita Raj and Ms. Balwinder Kaur) along with IQAC screened a documentary called 'India's Daughter' based on the Nirbhaya case of 2012 and a movie named 'Bawandar' which deals with the life and struggles of a local women's rights activist belonging to a rural area in the state of Rajasthan.
The objective of the event was to sensitise the students vis-a- vis gender issues and encourage behaviour modification by raising awareness about gender equity. Around 150 students from across the streams participated enthusiastically with a discussion about the films being held at the end.
