On October 17, 2025 Government PG College for Women, Sector-14, Panchkula hosted its annual cultural extravaganza, “Tana Bana – Parampara se Pragati Tak,” with great fervor and vibrant participation co-ordinated by Entrepreneurship Development Cell,Department of Economics, Home Science, Women Cell. Guided by worthy Principal Dr. Khushila, the event skillfully intertwined the richness of tradition with the spirit of modern progress, highlighting the institution’s ongoing commitment to nurturing cultural values and empowering women. The fest was honoured by the gracious presence of the Dr Anuradha Sharma Ret. Principal as Chief Guest and Ms Sangeeta Mehtani(Ret. Principal)Dr Rita Gupta (Ret. DHEO),Ms Anju Manocha(Joint Director, DHE),Dr Anjali Siwach(Joint Director, DHE)Dr Alka Sharma(Joint Director, DHE) as special guest. In his address, the Chief Guest lauded the college’s persistent efforts in promoting holistic development, women empowerment, and entrepreneurship among students.
A major highlight of the celebration was the display of 52 student-run stalls, featuring an impressive array of food items, handicrafts, decorative artifacts, plants, seeds and original creations. These stalls offered students a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit , creativity, and organizational acumen, turning the occasion into a celebration of innovation and teamwork, drawing admiration for their creativity and confidence. Stalls saw a stream of visitors and generated hefty sales.
Interactive activities added to the lively atmosphere, reinforcing the event’s theme—“Parampara se Pragati Tak”—a journey from tradition to progress. The Principal, Dr. Khushila, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, faculty, and students for their spirited participation and dedication, which ensured the success of the festival.
