On 30 March, 2026, the Botany Department in collaboration with the Eco Club organized an activity on “Vegetative Propagation Techniques in Plants.” The aim of the activity was to provide practical knowledge to students about different artificial and natural methods of plant propagation. Cutting technique was demonstrated in rose (Rosa indica) and China rose (Hibiscus rosa sinensis). Vegetative propagation through tubers was shown in potato (Solanum tuberosum), while Bryophyllum was demonstrated as an example of leaf bud propagation. Students were also shown grafting techniques in citrus and rose plants. In addition, layering technique was also demonstrated to help students understand stem propagation. A total of 77 students actively participated in the activity.
