NSS organized successfully literacy week

W.r.t. letter no. dated 9/170-2023 Co.(3) dated 29-08-2023 this is a detailed report on the successful Celebration of Literacy Week organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS), Unit I, under the dedicated leadership of NSS Program Officer Dr. Kalpna. This eventful week, taking place from 1st September to 8th September 2023, aimed to promote literacy and raise awareness of its vital role in our society. Day 1 - Slogan Writing Activity: The Literacy Week commenced with great enthusiasm on the 1st of September. An engaging Slogan Writing Activity was conducted on this day, with the theme "Promoting literacy for a world in transition: Building the foundation for sustainable and peaceful societies." NSS volunteers took part zealously, crafting meaningful slogans that emphasized how literacy can be a catalyst for global transformation. Day 2 - Declamation Contest: The second day of the celebration featured a Declamation Contest, focused on the theme "ULLAS SCHEME/JAN JAN SAKSHAR/NAV BHARAT SAKSHARATA KARYAKRAM." Eager NSS volunteers delivered impactful speeches to fellow college students, aimed at creating awareness about this effective shame of the government and its transformative potential. Day 3 - Nukkad Natak on Women Empowerment: On the 3rd day, a captivating Nukkad Natak (street play) was organized by NSS volunteers. The theme of the play revolved around the importance of literacy in women's empowerment, delivering a powerful message to the local community. This nukkad natak was presented before other students of college. Day 4 - Rally for Awareness: Day 4 witnessed a vibrant rally in the college campus and the surrounding areas. NSS volunteers, accompanied by their dedicated program officers, led the rally, shouting slogans and engaging with people to spread awareness about literacy and its profound significance in our society. Day 5 - Poster Making Activity: The 5th day of the Literacy Week Celebration hosted a creative Poster Making Activity. NSS volunteers poured their creativity into crafting posters centered around the theme "Literacy in a digital world," showcasing the evolving nature of literacy in the modern era. Day 6 - Poster Presentation: The final day of Literacy Week featured a Poster Presentation activity. The posters created by NSS volunteers were put on display to raise awareness about literacy among students and non-teaching staff. This inclusive approach aimed to educate and involve everyone in understanding the importance of literacy, including non-teaching staff members such as sweepers and peons. The entire week of activities was a resounding success. These events not only promoted literacy but also fostered a sense of community engagement and responsibility among all participants
