A debate competition was organized by Botany department on 27th February, 2023. The aim of this competition was to give students a creative platform to express what they feel. It also helped in enhancing their public speaking skills, communication skills and confidence among the students. 10 students of B.Sc. Medical participated in this competition and expressed there opinions and views on the topic Use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in Agriculture . There were two teams Team A and Team B and there were five participants in each team. Team A described the advantages of chemical fertilizers and pesticides whereas Team B emphasized on negative impact of chemical fertilizers and pesticides on agriculture. Each students presented their views with lots of confidence, clarity of thoughts within stipulated time period. The competition provided a great opportunity for the students to show case there public speaking skills and debating skills and to put forward their views and opinions. All the teachers and judges praised the efforts of students and encouraged them for participating in various activities and competitions.
