An online Interactive Session on Entrepreneurship and Start-up Ecosystem, for students of medical stream was organized by Startup Incubator Centre, Govt. College Sector -1, Panchkula in collaboration with Career Guidance and Placement cell on 05th February, 2021. The main objective of this program was to provide guidance to medical students regarding startup opportunities available in healthcare industry. The talk was delivered by Mr. M.K. Bhatia, Founder, MITS Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. who shared his business success story with the students. The speaker motivated the students to set their goals according to their passion and accept all the challenges which come during the process of becoming an entrepreneur. He emphasized the importance of dedication to work, team spirit, money management, resource finding, marketing skills and knowledge about investment and returns in a startup program. He told about various options such as retail pharmacy store, wellness and fitness centers, diagnostic centers, herbal products manufacturing etc. in which the students from medical background can go with their startups. Forty-two students from B.Sc. I, II, III (Medical) joined this session and got benefitted. They actively participated in discussion with the speaker and their queries were answered satisfactorily. The lecture was of great success as it helped the students to know about entrepreneurial potential in medical and healthcare industry.
