Placement cell of the College in association with Entrepreneurship Development cell ,WSDC, Economics Department, Commerce Department and Home Science Departement had organized one day exhibition cum fair “Tana -Bana” on 31 October, which was sponsored by Gyan Darpan IAS Academy and HD Education. Mrs. Reeta Gupta principal and DHEO SMMD Govt. Sanskrit College was present as the Chief Guest. The program started by ribbon cutting by the guest present on the day. At the inaugural session, Dr Richa Setia our worthy Principal, welcomed all the students and dignitaries and motivated the participants to take full advantage of such fairs-cum-exhibitions to improve their productivity. More than 100 students participated in this exhibition cum fair. The exhibition has 40 stalls set up mainly by students. In this fair, attractively manufactured textile and clothing products, Mandala Art, Jewellery, souvenirs, wooden crafts trays, Mehandi, bamboo crafts home decor, nail art, paintings and terra cotta crafts made of eco-friendly natural resources like clay, jute, etc. were available for sale by the students. Students also displayed their culinary art through different food stalls. There are 18 food stalls. In the exhibition the products which were developed by the students during the whole year were showcased. The consumers were the students and staff of the College. Principals and Professors from other Colleges also attended the fair. The main objective behind the exhibition cum fair was to motivate the students to work hard and give them a platform where they can showcase the work done by them and develop the entrepreneurial skills in them.
Students got an opportunity to sell their products which motivated them to work hard towards the creativity in their products. All students whole-heartedly participated in this activity.
