Movie Show on the Novel Kanthapura
Under the able guidance of Principal, Smt. Babita Verma, Subject Society of English of GCW- Sec 14, Panchkula, organized an Audio Visual Movie Show of Raja Rao’s novel Kanthapura based on Doordarshan’s famous T.V serial ‘Bharat Ek Khoj ‘ in room no. 123 for the students of B.A III (Vth Semester) on 26.11.2021. Around 200 students of B.A-III participated in the event. It was organized by Dr. Ritu Yadav,Dr. Sarvjeet Kaur and Mrs.Anju Goel. The movie highlights various social and political issues of pre-independence India and the influence of Mahatma Gandhi in freedom movement. HOD, Mrs. Suman Bhatia, Mrs.Alka Sharma and Mrs. Taruna also helped in making this event a success. Technical assistance was provided by Mrs.Sapna(Comp.Dept) and Mrs.Balwinder.
