Annual alumni meet through virtual platform

Alumni meet report (Session 20-21)
Alumni meet was organized by Govt. PG college for women on 29th May 2021. Chief Guest for the same was Principal of the College Mrs. Babita Verma. Guest of the honor of the event was Ms.Urmil Sangwaan from Govt College Karnal. Due to lock down situation the meet was planned through Google meet app. This was the second alumni meet planned by our college through virtual platform. The meet was organized by Mrs. Geeta Bhatia (conv) and committee members Dr Vibha, Dr.pooja and Rubi Mangla . Invite was prepared and communicated to students through emails and social media i.e face book and Wats App groups. Google link was also provided to students to register themselves online. As many as 230 students registered themselves for the meet. Meeting started with inaugural address by Dr.pooja followed by bhajan which was recited by alumni student Ms.Priyanka Tiwari. Then convener of alumni meet Mrs. Geeta Bhatia presented a detailed note on about the activities and contribution of alumni members during the year 20-21.Name of the office bearers were officially announced and it was also announced that alumni association name has been approved by district authorities i.e.Galum association ltd. its registration process has been completed and bank account has been opened in nationalized bank. In the Alumni meet students from all over India i.e Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Gurugram, Ludhiana and some students connected from Canada also. Students were given platform to share their views. Principal of the college motivated the alumni students and advised them to be in touch with the college activities.Dr.urmil Sangwaan suggested how we can strengthen our alumni association and students should stay connected with the college. Ms.Tanushree being in charge of incubation centre of sector 1 College informed alumni students that how they can benefit of start ups. Alumni member Preeti Sharma advised about the diet habbits during covid 19 and one budding writer Archie Mishra presented a motivational poem. Office bearers of alumni members i.e President Varsha and Diksha treasurer shared their views with alumni students. Vice president Ms. Priya Bhutani presented vote of thank. Few students named Deepika Maun, kamaljeet Bindra from Canada shared their experiences of college life.in the end vote of thank was presented by Dr.Vibha from department of English. Meeting ended with a note to meet again next year #stay home, stay safe.
