Seminar on “Entrepreneurship and Self Employment: Challenges and Opportunities A seminar on “Entrepreneurship and Self Employment: Challenges and Opportunities was organized on 05/10/2023 by Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Placement Cell of Govt. P.G. College for Women Sector 14, Panchkula, in collaboration with Zila Rojgar Srijan Kendra, Panchkula, Haryana, under Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan under the able guidance of Dr. Richa Setia, Principal of the college. This report is in continuation of the report sent on 23/08/2023, in reference to KUK letter no RPS/23/1084 dated 29/09/2023. The main objective of the seminar was to encourage and motivate the young minds towards entrepreneurship and self-employment and to shift the mindset of our youth from job seekers to job providers. The Seminar was started with Deep Prajvalan and Saraswati Vandana at 11:00 am. Dr. Richa Setia, Principal of the college presided over this seminar. The event was started with welcome note of respected principal mam, Dr. Richa Setia to all the dignitaries present there. After that six budding entrepreneurs of the college and some other entrepreneurs of the area were felicitated by Zila Rojgar Srijan Kendra, Panchkula, Haryana. Then Dr. K.K. Kataria, Director and Dr. Rajesh Goel, Secretary, Technical Education Department, Haryana and IPS Sh. R.C. Mishra addressed the audience. After that Sh. Satish Kumar, Keynote speaker, Co-organizer, Akhil Bhartiya, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, enlightened the audience with his words. He encouraged the students to explore the hidden business opportunities and start-up their own business. The speakers engaged the audience by discussing the significance of creative thinking, problem-solving, and perseverance in the entrepreneurial journey. This seminar on World Entrepreneurship Day successfully ignited the spirit of entrepreneurship among the students, encouraged them to think beyond conventional boundaries and consider the possibilities of innovative ventures. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approx. 600 students, showcasing their eagerness to explore entrepreneurial ventures. The seminar was a great success.
