Yoga day celebration

The celebration commenced on 06-06 -2025 with preparatory yoga session from 7:00 am to 8:00 am in the college auditorium.The event saw enthusiastic participation from 158 individuals, comprising 58 faculty members and 100 students. The session comprised of brief introduction to yoga's benefits, followed by surya Namaskar and series of asanas (yoga poses) thereafter designed to enhance flexibility, strength, and mental focus. Followed by preparatory session, students and staff members also actively participated in Yoga sessions on 12 -06-2025 in college campus and on 17 & 18th June 2025 at Parade Ground. Sec-5, Panchkula. The event culminated on 21 June 2025 with an enthusiastic participation of 177 participants from the college comprising of 52 faculty members and 125 students at Convention Hall, Sec-1, Panchkula. The event reflected the spirit of unity and well-being. Red Bishop. focusing on the theme Yoga for One Earth, One Health. Participants viewed and attentively listened to the live message delivered by Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi at Visakhapatnam coastline in which he hailed yoga as a gift "beyond age" that transcends all boundaries and unites humanity in "health and harmony." The Prime Minister recalled India's initiative at the United Nations in 2014 to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day, a move that received wide global support in record time. He also highlighted how yoga has reached every corner of the planet and has become a global symbol of health and peace. comprised of Starting with prayer session and "Om" Chanting,all the participants performed yoga that various standing poses (Asanas) like Tadasana (Mountain Pose) Padahastasana (Hand-to-Foot-Pose),Trikonasana (Extended Triangle Pose) followed by sitting poses Dandasana (Staff Pose), Vajrasana (Thunderbolt Pose), Sukhasana (Easy Pose), Mandukasana (Frog Pose), Ustrasana (Camel Pose), Vakrasana(Half Spinal Twist Pose ) and various lying poses like Makrasan (Monkey pose),Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), Setubandhasana (Bridge Pose), Shalabhasana (Locust Pose), Pawanmuktasana (Wind Relieving Pose) and Savasana (Corpse Pose). Participants also practised Pranayams like Kapalbhati, Anulomvilom, Bhramari, Bhastrika and Sheetali/Sheetkari Pranayam that aimed to improve respiratory health, reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance cardiovascular health. The session ended with meditation" practice followed bv "Om"Chanting and Shanti Mantra. and Principal D: Khushila motivated students & staf members to perform yoga routinely acquire the same as a habit to get the numerous benefits related to physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Students also received T- shirts and Refreshment distributed by District Administration. Panchkula. Faculty members als0preceived 15 Saplings distributed by For Department. Morni ( Pinjore) as a step towards conservation of environment and to promo sustainability.
